A Seamless Array of Plan Services

Stephen H. Rosen is an independent consulting actuary specializing in the design and implementation of qualified retirement plans. A graduate of Rutgers University, Steve continued his education at the Wharton School and the University of Iowa. He is an Enrolled Actuary, Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries and Certified Pension Consultant, is a Board Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). He also is the Founder and Past President of the ASPPA Benefits Council of the Delaware Valley and continues to serve as one of its Board Members.
Steve has lectured at numerous actuarial conferences, including the Enrolled Actuaries Meeting and has also been a frequent speaker for tax, insurance and accounting associations. He co-authored books on the Tax Reform Act of 1984, an Accountant’s Guide to Employee Benefit Plans and published articles in Taxation for Accountants and the Pennsylvania CPA Journal. Steve served on the faculty at the Institute of Employee Benefits in Philadelphia. His more than 30 years of experience in the profession is the basis for his being called upon to offer court testimony as an expert in developing valuations of employee benefits.
Steve founded Stephen H. Rosen & Associates in 1982 and the Firm now provides on-going administrative services to more than 600 qualified retirement plans.

Beth has been a pension professional since 1981 and joined our firm as a Pension Consultant in 1994. She has been actively involved in personnel and operations management for a number of years. Beth was promoted to President of our firm in April 2010. As a Senior Pension Consultant with an extensive list of clients, Beth specializes in plans with unique contribution arrangements, 403(b) plans, multiple employer plans, and controlled group plans.
She is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist with the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, an Accredited Pension Administrator through the National Institute of Pension Administrators, a Certified Pension Consultant with the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, and an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent with the Internal Revenue Service.

Trent joined Stephen H. Rosen & Associates in May of 2008. He is an ERISA attorney who specializes in employer-sponsored retirement plans and related issues. He earned his B.A. in Public Affairs and Administration from the University of Oklahoma. He received his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
Trent is also an Associated Professional Member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). He has worked exclusively in the employee benefits field throughout his 13 year career. Trent is the head of the firm’s Compliance Department and focuses on plan documentation and qualification, compliance, and resolution of plan sponsor matters with the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor.

Virginia joined Stephen H. Rosen & Associates in September of 2002. She is an Enrolled Actuary and a member of the American Society of Pension Professional & Actuaries (ASPPA). She passed the necessary exams to receive the designation of Fellow of the Society of Pension Actuaries (FSPA), the highest designation available through ASPPA. She is currently responsible for reviewing all defined benefit plan valuations and design studies.
Prior to joining our company, Virginia had more than 17 years in the employee benefit field. She specializes in defined benefit plan design and administration. She also has expertise in new comparability plan design and administration.

Tabitha joined our firm in September 2004 and has over 15 years of experience in the pension industry. She is responsible for the management of a variety of Defined Contribution Plans, including Safe Harbor 401(k), Profit Sharing and Cross Tested Plans.
Tabitha has received a designation from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries as a Qualified 401(k) Administrator and is an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent with the Internal Revenue Service.

Barbara Stein joined Stephen H. Rosen & Associates in February 2001 bringing over 30 years of Pension Administration experience. She is a Client Manager specializing in 401(k) and 403(b) Plans that average 250 participants.
In addition to servicing her annual administration clients, Barbara coordinates the transition of all new and takeover Defined Contribution plans. Her extensive knowledge of plan design, document compliance and plan administration issues provides our new clients with a timely and thorough transition. Barbara is an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent with the Internal Revenue Service.

Bill joined our firm in 2007 due to the merger with a local pension administration firm. Bill administers all types of qualified plans, including 401(k), 403(b) and Employee Stock Ownership Plans.
Prior to joining our Company, Bill had served as a corporate staff accountant and controller for over 15 year. With training and education, he then progressed into pension administration. He has worked as a pension administrator for over 20 years. Bill is an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent with the Internal Revenue Service.

Donna joined the technical staff of Stephen H. Rosen & Associates in September of 2004. She has more than 15 years of experience in the pension industry and is responsible for the management of a variety of defined contribution plans with an emphasis on 401(k) Cross Tested Profit Sharing Plans.
Donna is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries and holds both her Qualified 401(k) Plan Administrator and Qualified Pension Administrator designations through that organization. Donna is also an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent with the Internal Revenue Service.

Emily Cerrone began working for our firm in March 2007. She is an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent with the Internal Revenue Service who specializes in handling Defined Benefit Plans. In addition to handling Defined Benefit plans (which includes Cash Balance plans), Emily also handles Profit Sharing and 401(k) plans as well.
Emily came to our firm with more than five years of experience in the pension industry. Her previous place of employment provided her with specialized retirement plan training following her graduation from The College of New Jersey in May 2001. Emily particularly enjoys working closely with clients to provide personalized service during all stages of plan administration.

Beth is a Client Manager that specializes in the administration of Defined Benefit plans, including Cash Balance plans. She joined our firm in January of 2009 with 5 years of experience as a large plan pension actuarial analyst. She also brought experience in the management and administration of small businesses gained while working with her husband on their own real estate management business.
Beth graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She is an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent with the IRS and is currently pursuing requirements to become an Enrolled Actuary.
